Scripta Masonica ANNUAL JOURNAL

Scripta journal_mockup2.jpg

Times have changed and so did Freemasonry. We find it very important to know the past so we understand the present and prepare for the future. In this day and age masonic research is more important then ever before.

The context of a more open society brought with itself also a more agreeable frame to study archives and identify masonic materials unknown before or forgotten by now.

The digitalization and the evolution in communication technologies permit today researchers all over the world to easily work together and exchange ideas and expertise, furthering the knowledge and understanding of Freemasonry in a socio-cultural and historic context.

Our work, summarised in the Annual Journal "Scripta Masonica" is our humble contribution to this great endeavour, to understand Freemasonry better and assess its role in society over the last few centuries.

We intend to identify and openly present to masons and the interested public unique and relevant masonic documents so that we may get a real and objective perspective on the Craft.

Each year we will publish in our journal facsimile documents, translations, interpretations, contextualizations, research papers and more, providing our subscribers with a unique and relevant insight in the history of Freemasonry.

We also provide support for further research and maintain a forum of discussion, trough the journal, where researchers can cooperate and progress in their endeavor.

We invite you to subscribe and contribute to our common effort to study and research the history on the oldest and most honorable fraternity in the world.
